Rector of Meybod Faculty of Quranic Sciences, Hojat-ol-Islam Zaree, told IQNA that the Olympiad is scheduled to be held in two separate sections for men and women competing in a number of categories including recitation, memorization and Tarteel recitation.
The Olympiad is devoted to scholars, staff, and students of the University of Quranic Sciences, consisting of 14 faculties located in different parts of the country, he said, adding that this year’s event has elevated its level from competition to Olympiad since it is to be held much more significantly in terms of number of contestants and quality of the contest as well.
Book fair, local handicraft exhibition and cultural excursions are some programs to be held on the sidelines of the Olympiad, Zaree remarked.
