Bahrain Quran Recitation and Memorization Winners Honored

More than 300 schoolchildren took part in Ibn Al Haitham Islamic School's annual Quran recitation and memorization competition in Manama.

Participants were divided into three age groups - grades nine to 12, six to eight and three to five. Candidates were shortlisted based on their performance during the first round and more than 100 participants qualified for the final.
Principal Mohammed Tayyab, administration chairman Shakil Ahmed Azmi, head teacher Najiya Ahmed and program coordinator Yunis Raj attended an awards ceremony at the Manama school.
Alfa Lease Holding company managing director Matloob Ahmed Khan presented the prizes.
