The expo showcases old and exquisite Quran copies from different parts of the world.
They include a copy written by Iranian artist Raein Akbarkhanzadeh, Fars News Agency reported.
22 carats of gold as well as different kinds of jewelry have been used in the 7-kilogram copy.
The artist says he has written the entire Quran on two pages of god measuring 12 by 16 centimeters.
He says it has received a lot of attention at the expo.
The sixth edition of Kuwait International Holy Quran Award began in the Persian Gulf country on March 30.
100 Quran reciters and memorizers from some 50 countries are competing in the Quranic event, which will run until April 8.
It is annually organized by the Quranic Affairs Department of Kuwait’s Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs.
