Abayi told IQNA that he has received an official invitation from the organizers of the contest to take part at the Quranic event as a judge.
The Quran master noted that he had also participated in the first edition of the contest as judge 13 years ago.
Indonesia’s international Quran competition is slated to be held in the capital Jakarta from August 30 to September 5.
Iran will have two other representatives in the upcoming Quranic event.
Mahmoud Noruzi and Javad Soleimani will compete for the Islamic Republic in the memorization of the entire Quran and recitation categories of the contest, respectively.
