Iranian Cultural Center to Organize Quran Competition in Pakistan

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Iranian Cultural Center in Pakistan plans to organize a Quran competition in the South Asian country.

It will be held on the occasion of the Islamic Unity Week later this year, the website of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) reported.


In the Islamic Unity Week, all Muslims, Sunni and Shia, celebrate the birth of Islam’s Holy Prophet (PBUH).


Contenders will compete in two categories of recitation and memorization of the entire Quran.


The Iranian Cultural House in Rawalpindi will host the contest on December 28-29.


Those interested can register by filling out the registration from and sending it to the cultural house.


Pakistani citizens aged 18 to 40 can take part in the competition.


Winners will be awarded at a ceremony slated for December 29 at the cultural house.
