Addressing worshipers at Tehran University Campus today, Hojat-ol-Islam Ahmad Khatami, Tehran’s interim Friday prayers leader, condemned the recent terrorist attacks in Paris and stressed that terrorism has nothing to do with Islam.
At least 130 people were killed in Paris last Friday night after gunmen and bombers attacked restaurants, a concert hall and a sports stadium at six different locations across the city.
The ISIL terrorist group claimed responsibility for the attacks.
Hojat-ol-Islam Khatami slammed the acts of terrorism and stressed that killing innocent people is condemned.
He also rapped the anti-Islamic incidents that happened in the wake of the Paris attacks, including attacks on Muslims and mosques in Western countries.
The senior cleric also said that France is also to blame for what happened in Paris as it sow the seeds of terrorism in Syria and then reaped terrorism.
“As the saying goes: They that sow the wind, shall reap the whirlwind.”
