TEHRAN (IQNA) – Daesh (ISIL or ISIS) terrorist group have claimed responsibility of Tuesday’s attack against a hospital in the Afghan capital of Kabul.

ISIL terror attack in Kabul

Two explosions hit the 400-bed Sardar Mohammad Daud Khan hospital in Kabul, leaving 25 people killed and 50 others injured.

Earlier, Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid had said that five ISIL militants had participated in Tuesday’s attack and were all killed.

This was the second blast that hit Kabul after the Taliban’s control over the country. The first one occurred some two weeks ago in front of the city’s zoo.

Daesh terrorists have ramped up their activities in Afghanistan in recent weeks, raising international communities’ concern over the security of the country.

The terrorists also targeted two Shia mosques in Kandahar and Kunduz last month, killing dozens of worshippers who were holding Friday prayers.

The attacks have been widely condemned by the international community who have also urged the Taliban to ensure the security of the country and fight against terrorist groups.
