TEHRAN (IQNA) – Human beings have different feelings and emotions, some of which could cause improper behavior that needs to be controlled so that they would not prevent one from reaching his objectives.

Anger

Anger is one of them that can affect every human being. But we should not allow it to take control of our behavior because otherwise our life and relationships would be harmed.

There are so many cases in which people have caused tragedies due to their rage and entangled themselves and others in situations whose consequences are irreversible.

Anger could be considered an abnormal state. Psychologists believe that while anger is a bad and negative emotion, it is like pain or a high temperature that gives us a warning about something that is going to happen or the changes that need to be made.

The teachings of Islam say those are the best human beings who do not get angry easily. According to the Holy Quran, suppressing one’s anger is one way of obtaining God’s forgiveness:

“And hasten to a forgiveness from your Lord and a Paradise as wide as heaven and earth, prepared for the cautious, who spend in prosperity and in adversity, for those who curb their anger and those who forgive people. And Allah loves the charitable.” (Surah Al Imran, Verses 133-134)

Everyone has goals in his life and to achieve those needs inner calm and peace. Anger is a big impediment to that. How many opportunities are lost due to anger and rage. That is why an important piece of advice from Islam is to keep calm and refuse getting angry.

The believers rarely get angry because they improve their spiritual state by implementing religious duties. And they have the best path to peace of mind:

“… and the faithful ones whose hearts are comforted by the remembrance of God. Remembrance of God certainly brings comfort to all hearts.” (Surah Ar-Raad, Verse 28)
