TEHRAN (IQNA) – Some noble people live among others and do business, but they never forget to remember God and pray and give charity as they are constantly aware of the day when everyone will be terrified and anxious.

“Men whom neither merchandise nor selling diverts from the remembrance of Allah and the keeping up of prayer and the giving of poor-rate; they fear a day in which the hearts and eyes shall turn about.” (Surah An-Nur, verse 37)

They are the people who live in society, do business and take part in all social activities, but nothing distracts them from remembering God and they always pray and give charity. They also keep in mind the day when their hearts and eyes will be fixed and puzzled, and that day is the day of meeting God when everyone will be worried and look around to see what will happen.

Their hearts are pounding, wondering what fate awaits them. Anyone who thinks about such a day always remembers God in everything and does not do anything against His will, because how sad it is for someone to go to his Lord and reach the presence of that absolute beauty and infinite mercy, but he cannot face the beloved because of his shame and imperfection.

The message of the verse is to be a customer of love and leave behind the rotten goods of lies and hypocrisy. Blessed are those whom God remembers with greatness and considers them as the champions of life.

Giving charity to the poor purifies one's wealth from being mixed with others' and purifies one's soul from being attached to money and possessions. However, many people give charity to show off or do good deeds with the money they have earned through evil and corruption.

That's why the right action is to be generous and not to be deceived by the appearance of the action.
