God says in Verses 1-4 of Surah Al-Mulk: “Blessed be He in whose Hand is the Kingdom, He is powerful over all things. It is He who has created death and life to put you to the test and see which of you is most virtuous in your deeds. He is Majestic and All-forgiving. It is He who has created seven heavens, one above the other. You can see no flaw in the creation of the Beneficent God. Look again. Can you see faults? Look twice (and keep on looking), your eyes will only become dull and tired.”
This life is what prepared us for the hereafter. The Lord of Creation tests human beings with the drama of life and death and assesses everyone, seeing what everyone seeks in this world, so that on the Resurrection Day, they will receive what they have ordered.
On the Day of Judgment, all people will be told to receive what they have ordered. But the smartest customers are those who get enthusiastic about so many beauties and praise their Creator.
The Holy Prophet (PBUH) said, “O God! I can never praise you (enough). You are the way You have praised Yourself.”
God is He who has created life and death,
Who has created everything in pairs and created people as men and women,
Whose actions dominate all of the world,
Who is closer to you than your jugular vein,
Who is the most kind and merciful,
Who “keeps an eye on (all evil-doing people),
Who created life and death to test you so that it is made clear who is more virtuous,
Who has created the world without any flaws and faults and the more you look at it, the more you realize that it has no imperfections and flaws.
Of course there are sufferings, pains and hardships. However, this world is not our permanent dwelling but it is just a passage.
God says in Verse 4 of Surah Al-Balad: “Certainly We have created the human being to face a great deal of hardship.”
God also says in Verse 6 of Surah Al-Inshiqaq: “Human being, you strive hard to get closer to your Lord, and so you will certainly receive the recompense (of your deeds).”
Life in this world is an examination for mankind so that it becomes clear what status everyone has. It is a golden opportunity for growth and attainment of virtues and perfection.
