Al-Banna, who retired from a weaving company, has been passionate about calligraphy since his childhood, Egyptian newspaper Youm7 reported.
Despite not having any formal training, he has strived to capture the beauty he perceives around him, translating it into stunning works of art with high precision, whether it be calligraphy, drawing, or sculpture.
His talent for art emerged during his middle school years, where he developed a love for drawing. Inspired by his school's design teacher, he sought to follow a similar path. He utilized his free time and work breaks to hone his skills in painting and calligraphy.
After retirement, Al-Banna found himself with more time to dedicate to his passion. He decided to further develop his talent in calligraphy, sculpture, and painting.
It was during this period that he decided to undertake the task of transcribing the Holy Quran with the utmost accuracy and in a beautiful script, adhering to precise calligraphy rules.
This endeavor required significant time and effort, with Al-Banna sometimes spending up to 30 minutes to write a single page of the Quran. He said he studied each verse in the Holy Quran before carefully transcribing it onto paper.
