Rumors on Closure of Kuwait Quranic Circles Denied

IQNA – The Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Ministry of Kuwait dismissed rumors about the closure of Quranic circles in the country.

The rumors have been circulating in social networks in recent weeks, according to Al-Watan newspaper. 

The ministry said in a statement that it is keen to see the continuation of the activities of Quranic centers and Quran circles in all provinces of the country.

It noted, however, that the ministry seeks to delegate some of its responsibilities and reduce its involvement in organizing these activities.

The ministry stressed the need for obtaining news from reliable sources and said it will take action against those spreading the false rumors.

Quranic activities are popular in Kuwait and there are many Quranic programs held in the country, including those involving the teaching of Quran memorization and recitation.
