Speaking to IQNA, Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Mostafa Hosseini Neyshabouri, the head of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization’s (ICRO) International Quran and Propagation Center, said Nasrallah’s closeness to the Holy Book helped him remain steadfast on the path of God.
He also referred to Nasrallah’s Sharh Sadr (the openness of the chest [soul], which points to one’s fortitude and patience), saying no one can have Sharh Sadr unless he is a true Muslim and submits to God.
God says in Verse 22 of Surah Az-Zumar, “One whose chest (heart and mind) is left open for Islam (submission to His will) shall receive light from God,” Hojat-ol-Islam Hosseini Neyshabouri said, adding that such Sharh Sadr was shown by Nasrallah in hard times during the struggle against the enemy.
He said rationality and wisdom were among other characteristics of Nasrallah that helped him in achieving victories and successes.
He noted that according to Verse 269 of Surah Al-Baqarah, “He gives wisdom to whom He will, and he who is given wisdom has been given a lot of good.”
Nasrallah was also very strong in terms of strategic management, which is especially important in times of crises and this helped in protection of both the Lebanese land and the Islamic frontiers, he stated.
Bravery and courage were also outstanding in Nasrallah’s character and he had no fear any blamer, according to the cleric, who cited Verse 54 of Surah Al-Ma’idah, “Believers, whichever of you turns away from his faith should know that God will soon raise a people whom He loves and who love Him, who are humble towards the believers, dignified to the unbelievers, who strive hard for the cause of God, and who have no fear of anyone's accusations. This is a favor from God. He bestows His favors upon whomever He wants. God is Munificent and All-knowing.”
