17th International Olympiad on Islamic Sciences, Arabic Language Held at Russian University

IQNA – The 17th International Olympiad in various fields of Islamic sciences and the Arabic language was held at the Russian Islamic University with the participation of students from countries across the Islamic world. 

 

This year's competition, held on November 13–14 in Kazan, brought together undergraduate students under the age of 23 from Islamic universities in various countries, including members of the BRICS group.

Launched in 2008, the Olympiad aims to identify and support talented students excelling in Islamic sciences and Arabic language studies.

This year, it welcomed participants from Iran, Uzbekistan, the United Arab Emirates, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, India, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Tajikistan, and Indonesia.

Among the Iranian delegation were two professors, Masoud Moeinipour from Baqir al-Olum University and Mahmoud Vaisi from the University of Religions and Denominations, along with four students representing Imam Sadiq University and the University of Religions and Denominations in various disciplines.

The Russian Islamic University, operating under the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Council of Muftis, and the Academy of Sciences of Tatarstan, has 25 years of experience in education and Islamic propagation.

The university is regarded as a top institution for Islamic studies and theology. Each year, students from this institute graduate in diverse fields, including Islamic sciences, theology, linguistics, and journalism.
