A mourning ritual for women on the demise anniversary of Hazrat Zeynab (SA) was held at the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS) in Mashhad on Thursday, January 16, 2025.

It was organized in the Arabic language by the non-Iranian pilgrims affairs of the Astan Quds Razavi (the custodianship of the mausoleum).

Some 300 women from Lebanon, Bahrain, Syria, Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Yemen took part in the mourning event.

Um Hadi Raja, an Islamic seminary instructor, spoke about the esteemed position of Lady Zaynab (SA) and the irreplaceable role of women of resistance.

Next, the touching melodies of mourning and chest-beating in the Bahraini style filled the atmosphere of the gathering, evoking tears of sorrow from the eyes of the attendees.

Then, a beautiful poetry recitation by Aida Aisa from Lebanon touched the hearts of all as she spoke of Hazrat Zaynab (SA).

The Ziyarat for this great woman was then recited, transporting souls to the tents of Karbala.

During this spiritual ceremony, the blessed flag and soil from the shrine of Hazrat Zaynab (SA) were passed among the pilgrims, each of whom eagerly sought blessings from it, quenching their hearts from the sorrow of Karbala.
