If this view is corrected, the movement of Imam Hussein (AS) from beginning to end will be understandable under the concepts of the Quran, the Secretary of the Quran and Etrat Council of Iran’s Public Libraries said.
Emphasizing the unity of the concepts of the Quran and Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS), Hadi Rabiei said the movement of Imam Hussein (AS) from beginning to end, which is for the eternity of mankind, can be understood through the verses and concepts of the Quran.
In order for this view to emerge in society, we must seriously study the meanings of the verses that Imam Hussein (AS) himself recited on his journey from Medina to Karbala, he said.
“We must tell society why Imam Hussein (AS) recited those verses and spoke about those issues when faced with various phenomena.”
This helps to convey the points raised by Imam Hussein (AS) to society in a generalized form, Rabiei noted.
“In general, Imam Hussein’s (AS) movement is to reform and revive the religion of his grandfather (the Holy Prophet (PBUH)), which finds meaning in the Quran.”
He added that the religion of Imam Hussein (AS) is related to the Quran and the Prophet’s (PBUH) identity is also defined by the Holy Quran, which is a divine revelation.
“Thus, the identity of the Prophet (PBUH) who says, ‘Hussein is from me and I am from Hussein’ is also defined by the Quran. Therefore, the Quran can define the movement of Imam Hussein (AS).”
Elsewhere in his remarks, Rabiei referred to the “Living with Verses” campaign launched for Arbaeen this year, which focuses on five pivotal verses of resistance and innocence, and highlighted its role in increasing the awareness of the Islamic nation regarding confronting global arrogance through reflection and contemplation on the verses
“This campaign is definitely effective,” he stated.
The verses that are the focus of this campaign are Verse 120 of Surah Al-Baqarah, Verses 139 and 140 of Surah Al-Imran, Verse 69 of Surah Al-Ankabut, Verses 249 to 251 of Surah Al-Baqarah, and Verse 16 of Surah Al-Jinn.
These verses refer to the theme of resistance, innocence, and standing against arrogance and are displayed along the Arbaeen march route at the borders and in Moukebs (service stations).
