18th Int’l Resistance Film Festival Slated for May 2026

IQNA – The 19th International Resistance Film Festival will be held from May 17-23, 2026, in Tehran and other provinces of Iran.  

The 18th Resistance International Film Festival

 

It will be organized by the Revolutionary and Sacred Defense Association under the direction of Jalal Ghaffari Ghadir.

The ceremony to honor and acknowledge the winners of this festival will be held on May 24, 2026, coinciding with the Day of Resistance, Sacrifice, and Victory.

The call for entries for the 19th edition of the festival has been published by its Permanent Secretariat.

It was published in two main and side sections and made available to interested parties.

The main section of the festival will be held in the formats of feature films, short films, documentaries, animations, screenplays, and the Humanities and Resistance Cinema Criticism and Research section, and the side section of the festival will be held in the formats of artificial intelligence and promotional data-x-items and materials.

Those interested in participating in the festival can send their works to the Permanent Secretariat of the International Resistance Film Festival by completing the work registration form from November 29, 2025 to February 19, 2026 (for documentary works, short films, animations, screenplays, artificial intelligence, promotional data-x-items and materials, research, research, criticism, theses and books) and until March 11, 2026 (for feature films).

Submissions can only be accepted through the festival’s official website at www.resistanceiff.com, and the festival secretariat is fully online to accept works from filmmakers, artists, and activists in the field of resistance cinema.
