IQNA – The secretary general of the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement said the seditionist mercenaries of Mossad that are backed by US President Donald Trump are not capable of forcing the Islamic Republic of Iran to change its approach.

Hezbollah Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem

Speaking in an address Saturday on the occasion of Maba’ath, the day Muhammad (PBUH) was appointed as the last messenger of God, Sheikh Naim Qassem congratulated Muslims on Eid Al-Maba’ath, affirming that Islam guides humanity to the path of truth and that truth lies wherever the divine decree is followed.

He said the noble appointment of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) marks one of the greatest days in human history, when God Almighty bestowed upon His Messenger a complete and comprehensive message.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Sheikh Qassem referred to the recent foreign-backed riots in Iran and said Trump aims to interfere in several regions across the world to block democratic and Islamic life and to control the world’s resources.

“They seek to punish and weaken the Islamic Republic of Iran, an independent state since 1979 that relies on its people’s capabilities and supports the resistance, particularly against Israeli occupation,” he added.

“God willing, Iran will remain a stronghold of resistance and freedom, supporting the oppressed; we stand with Iran’s people, leadership, and revolution and see it as steadfast and strong,” he continued.

The Hezbollah leader referred to the massive presence of Iranians in rallies held across the country to condemn the riots and said those demonstrations indicated what the people of Iran want.

“We stand by the people, leadership and Islamic Revolution of Iran and know that Iran is strong and steadfast.”

As for the situation in Lebanon, Sheikh Qassem said Lebanon will not be able to survive without the resistance.

“We will continue the resistance and Lebanon will not be without resistance,” he stressed.
