El Premio de Recitación del Corán en Qatar busca descubrir talentos excepcionales en la recitación

IQNA – La Fundación Cultural Village (Katara) de Qatar abrió la convocatoria para la décima edición del Premio de Recitación del Sagrado Corán.

 

 

The edition of the Quranic event is held under the theme ‘Amplifying Beautiful Recitation Voices’.

 

In a statement, Katara said applications opened on August 3 and will close on September 30.

 

The award aims to discover and encourage outstanding talent in Quran recitation, identify the most beautiful recitation voices, and recognize distinguished reciters based on the rules of Tajweed.

 

The judging panel comprises three experts in Quranic recitation and Tajweed, alongside three specialists in maqamat, vocal quality and melody.

 

As part of the award, Katara will produce and release a complete audio recording of the Holy Quran recited by the first-place winner at Katara Studios.

 

The total prize fund stands at QR800,000, with the first-place winner receiving QR500,000, the second-place winner QR200,000, and the third-place winner QR100,000.

 

The General Directorate of Endowments at Qatar’s Ministry of Awqaf (Endowments) and Islamic Affairs has been the award’s official sponsor since its launch in 2017.
