Secretary of the Council for Developing the Quranic Culture hailed the success of the Public Quranic Education Commission.

Speaking at Ofoq (horizon) radio program, Hojat-ol-Islam Hamid Mohammadi said the commission is one of the most successful in the Council for Developing the Quranic Culture.

He also referred to the achievements of the council and said that its establishment had been a demand of the Quranic community for years.

He noted that the council was officially founded in 2009 for policy making and general planning in the Quranic field.

“In that same year, the Charter for Developing Quranic Activities was passed in which the objectives and strategies for Quranic activities were determined.”

Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammadi further underlined that all governmental bodies are required to implement  the approvals of the Council for Developing the Quranic Culture.

Head of the Dar-ol-Quran Karim Organization Mehdi Qarasheikhlu also attended the radio program via telephone. He said in the past four years since the establishment of the council, it has carried out good activities and made achievements.

Qarasheikhlu said, however, that there are more expectations from this council than what it has so far accomplished.

He said the council ought to play a more active role in the country’s Quranic fields and pay more attention to Quranic issues.

Elsewhere in the program, Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammadi appreciated the cooperation of the Dar-ol-Quran Karim Organization with the Council for Developing the Quranic Culture.
