Muslims Have Great Responsibility to Safeguard Islam’s Grandeur

Secretary General of Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance movement said safeguarding the grandeur of Islam is upon the Muslim Ummah.

Speaking during a mourning ceremony in Al-Rawis region on the occasion of the start of Muharram, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah underlined that Muslims have a great responsibility to defend the status of Islam.

Nasrallah added that the enemy is waiting for Muslims to make mistakes (in order to attack Islam).

He pointed to the security conditions in Lebanon and the region and the challenges ahead, saying that there is a blind war waged against the Islamic Ummah.

Hezbollah secretary general said in the past few years challenges have increased and opportunities have declined.

Nasrallah further said Ashura circles (rituals and processions held to mourn the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS) and his companions in the battle of Karbala on Ashura) should be venues for reciting the Quran and prayers and reviving the traditions of the Divine prophets.
