6th Friendship Quran Contest of Iran, Oman Armies Begins in Tehran

The preliminary stage of the 6th edition of the friendship Quran competition between the armies of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Oman was held this morning in Tehran.

The Defense Ministry’s Ideo-political Organization hosted the contest, which began at 8:30 local time.
Memorization of 5, 10 and 20 Juzes (parts) of the Quran and memorization of the entire Quran are the categories of the contest.
3 top contenders in each category of the preliminary stage will make it to the final round of the competition, according to the organizers.
Representatives of Iran in this competition have been selected from top Quran memorizers of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Army, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), the Ministry of Defense and the Police Force.
