Mecca Quran Competition Winners Honored
IQNA – The winners of the 46th King Abdulaziz International Competition for Memorizing, Reciting, and Interpreting the Holy Quran were honored at a ceremony at the Grand Mosque in Mecca.
The ceremony was held under the patronage and on behalf of the Saudi king by Deputy Governor of Mecca Region Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz.
Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Alsheikh highlighted that the competition stands as a testament to the dedication to serving the Holy Quran, supporting its memorizers, and uniting people through guidance and righteousness.
He highlighted the increase in the number of winners from 12 to 50, along with the rise in total prize money from SAR1.1 million to over SAR10 million.
