IQNA – The national stage of the 49th National Quranic Competition of the Islamic Republic of Iran will be held in November this year, an official said.

Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Nasser Nourizadeh, the head of the Quranic Affairs Center of the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization, noted that the southeastern city of Zahedan in Sistan and Balouchestan Province will host the final round.
Hojat-ol-Islam Nourizadeh, who has traveled to Zahedan, told IQNA that after careful expert studies and considering the unique capacities that the province of Sistan and Balouchestan has, it was decided that the national stage of the contest will be held in the capital of this province.
He said the purpose of this trip was to make the necessary coordination with provincial officials and ensure complete security for the presence of competitors during the competition finals.
“With a few months left until the start of the national stage of the competition, we are seeking to examine various issues, including the main venue of the competition and the accommodation of the invitees, guests and competitors, in joint meetings with the provincial policy-making and executive officials, and if there is a problem, deficiency or weakness in any of them, we will seek to resolve and compensate for it at the appropriate time.”
The official added, “Among our emphases is appropriate and newsworthy media coverage of this national Quranic event by news agencies and the national media, for which feasibility studies are also being conducted, and discussions have been held with the provincial network and national media networks regarding technical issues for live coverage of the contest.”

The National Holy Quran Competition of the Islamic Republic of Iran, organized by the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization, is the largest Quranic contest in Iran, attracting participants from across the country to compete in various categories.
The annual competition, regarded as the most prestigious Quranic event in Iran, aims to promote Islamic values, foster Quranic literacy, and celebrate exceptional talent.
It is held in different categories, including Quran recitation, Tarteel, memorization, and Adhan (call to prayer).
The top winners will represent Iran in international Quran competitions across the world.
