Cloth to CoverTomb of Imam Hussein (AS) to Be Unveiled

A cloth which will cover the tomb of Imam Hussein (AS) in Karbala will be unveiled in a ceremony with the participation of Iranian and Iraqi officials in Isfahan.


According to the public relations office of the Committee for Reconstruction of Holy Sites in Iraq, the cloth prepared by artists from Isfahan province, will be unveiled on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Imam Hassan Askari (AS) on Friday, February 7.

The valuable artwork took about two years to complete by 14 women from the region working at the art workshop of the committee in Isfahan.

It is an 18-sq velvet powdered with precious stones such as rubies, pearls, gold, etc. and decorated with some verses of the Holy Quran, The Names of God, the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and the infallible Imams (AS) in floral baskets.

The cloth will be taken to the holy city of Karbala to cover the tomb of Imam Hussein (RA).
