The continued massacre of Muslims in the Central African Republic is the result of the world community’s silence over the mass killing, a Chadian MP said.

Speaking to IQNA, Mohamed Ebe Zin added that sending forces to save the lives of Muslims in CAR is necessary.
He said some extremist Christian groups have exploited the current chaos in CAR and the international silence to kill Muslims.
Ebe Zin said it is the human and religious responsibility of CAR’s neighboring countries, which are mostly Muslim states, to do their best to save the lives of Muslims.
The Central African Republic has been facing deadly unrest since December last year, when Christian militia launched coordinated attacks against the mostly Muslim Seleka group, which toppled the government in March 2013.
Christian militias have been attacking the whole Muslim population including women and children, forcing thousands of Muslims to flee the country.
The recent violence in the country has claimed the lives of thousands of people.
Elsewhere in the interview, Ebe Zin pointed to the issue of Palestine and said all of Palestine’s occupied lands must be returned to their rightful owner, namely the Palestinian people, and that an independent Palestinian state should be established with Quds (Jerusalem) as its capital.
Turning to the situation in Syria, he said the Republic of Chad is for peaceful resolution of the crisis in Syria.
The Chadian parliamentarian further referred to Quranic activities in his country, saying that Chadians pay special attention to Quranic and Islamic activities.
He noted that there are approximately 6,000 memorizers of the Holy Quran in Chad and every year more people, especially children and teenagers in the country learn the Quran by heart.
