A Japanese translation of Martyr Motahhari’s “Dastan-e Rastan” (Tales of the Righteous) will be published by Iranian Cultural Center in Japan.

According to IQNA’s branch in East Asia, the Iranian cultural attaché in Japan said the introduction and 21 stories of the book have been translated into the Japanese language.

He added that the translation of the entire book will be completed by the end of this year.

Written by prominent Shia scholar Mortaza Motahhari, “Dastan-e Rastan” was published in two volumes, each containing 75 stories.

The book received an award from UNESCO in 1965. It is a collection of anecdotes and short stories about the lives of Islamic figures and also carries a strongly ethical focus.

The stories of the book are based on Seerah of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS), Hadiths and historical resources and written in a simple and comprehensible language.
