Nationwide Promotion of Quran Memorization Culture Urged

All-out efforts ought to be made in order to promote the culture of memorization of the holy Quran nationwide.
This is according to Ali Sarabi, an official with Iran’s Quranic Formations Union, who, speaking to IQNA, said that the culture of Quran memorization need to be institutionalized in all across the country so that all people would have this chance to get fully acquainted with the concepts of the Book of Allah.
Pointing to the significance of Quran Memorization National plan, he added that all Quranic centers as well as the state and Parliamentary officials should take major steps in order to fulfill this divine obligation.
Sarabi further referred to the crucial role of the Education Ministry in implementing the plan adding that, “So far over 3 million students have registered for the program”.
He said that plans are underway for arranging an entrance exam with the purpose of evaluating the level of the participants by end of April.
The Quranic expert concluded that it is incumbent upon all teachers to encourage students towards Quranic activities and culture.
