Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini was speaking in Yasuj on April 26, at the opening ceremony of an exhibition featuring the Razavi international festival’s achievements.
He also noted that based on an agreement with Turkmenistan’s president a site named after Imam Reza (AS) is to be constructed in the region.
It will be built with the cooperation of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Astan-e Quds Razavi, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Organization of Cultural Heritage and Tourism, the minister said.
He pointed to Imam Raze’a (AS) life, and noted that the 8th Imam selected Marv, which was the capital of Khorasan Province at that time and is now in Turkmenistan, as one of the main centers for his political and cultural activities.
On Razavi international festival, he said that so far it has been annually held for one week on the occasion of Imam Reza’s (AS) birth anniversary, but following the Iranian president’s emphasis on disseminating Razavi culture all over the country, it is planned to be held for over five months in 10 provinces.
