Seminary and university lecturer Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Hassan Hashemimade the remark in an interview with IQNA on the martyrdom anniversary of the 9th Imam (AS).
During the reign of the Abbasids, he said, both during the time of Ma’mun and during the time of Mu’tasim, they made great efforts to destroy the scientific and religious personality of Imam Jawad (AS), but during his 17 years of Imamate, he guided and led the people like the sun of the universe.
“In his adolescence, in many debates with fanatical enemies and some ignorant people, he answered the most difficult jurisprudential and scientific issues and solved the most complex equations of science and wisdom. Despite his youth and the crises and turmoil that existed in the society of that time, Imam Jawad (AS) was able to bring about greater unity and cohesion among the Shias against their enemies with his wisdom and desirable social management.”
Emphasizing the outstanding characteristics of the ninth Imam, Hojat-ol-Islam Hashemi said that one of the most important characteristics of his blessed life was his extraordinary wisdom and scientific mastery; in such a way that in his childhood and adolescence, he would dominate the most senior scholars of his time in debates.
Referring to the educational approach of the ninth Imam (AS), the seminary and university lecturer said that his patience in responding to the questions of the new generation, along with educating students who each became the founders of major scientific movements, shows that scientific dynamism, commitment to continuous learning, and teamwork based on consultation are the fundamental pillars of success on the path of construction.
Referring to the moral life of Imam Jawad (AS), he said his respectful treatment even of intellectual opponents, simplicity of life, avoidance of common luxuries, and secretly helping the poor are signs of the peak of human perfection at a young age.

Referring to the need to inject hope into society, he said that in the darkest era of political oppression, Imam Jawad (AS) always infused his followers’ souls with a spirit of joy and hope.
“Today’s young generation can also realize, by studying and implementing this comprehensive and realistic model, that combining courage, wisdom, ethics, and management skills is the golden key to overcoming modern crises and achieving sustainable prosperity in all areas of life.”
