West Fears Spread of Islamic Lifestyle in the World

A senior seminary instructor said the West is worried about the spread of the Islamic lifestyle in the world.

Speaking to IQNA, Ayatollah Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini Zanjani added that the reason behind the West’s fear and confrontation with Islam is the religion’s rising power in the world.
He said Islam has presented new ideas and programs for running the society and managing the institution of the family and that is why the West sees its interests in jeopardy in the face of this religion.
Ayatollah Zanjani stressed that the West’s confrontation with Islam intensified after the victory of the Islamic Revolution because the revolution presented Islam’s new plan that leads humanity toward prosperity and perfection through Divine and monotheistic teachings.
The West and western schools of thought that claim to be saving humanity, now see Islam in confrontation with their ideas and therefore attempt to hamper the spread of the Divine religion, he stated.
He referred to the situation in Syria and said it is part of the West’s plots to foment sectarian disputes and create chaos there to achieve its own interests.
Ayatollah Zanjani noted that the West’s confrontation with Islam has not been limited to this day but can be seen since the Crusades though in various degrees.
He stressed that the victory of the Islamic Revolution and the Islamic Awakening in the region which led to uprisings in countries like Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Bahrain, etc, have intensified the West’s fear of Islam
The senior seminary instructor further warned that if sectarian and religious disputes spread in the Muslim world, it would serve the enemies’ objectives.
