OIC Strongly Condemns Israeli Desecration of the Holy Quran
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly condemned the storming by Israeli occupation forces into the courtyards of the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque, assaulting women learners inside the Mosque, and an Israeli police officer's blatant desecration of a copy of the Holy Quran in a flagrant provocation and injuring the feelings of Muslims all over the world.
The OIC Secretary-general in his statement issued today, denounced the brutal criminal attack and profaning of sacred places and freedom of worshipping, as well as a stark breaching of international resolutions and conventions.
The OIC secretary-general held Israeli occupation authorities to blame for all dangerous consequences which ensue from such gross violations of the holy Mosque, accentuating that such attacks come as part of ongoing provocative systematic policies of Israeli occupation forces in the holy city, which jeopardize security and stability in the region.
He urged the world community to promptly intervene in order to stop the transgressions of Israeli occupation forces against Islamic and Christian sanctities.
