Bahman Mo’azzami made the remark in an interview with IQNA, adding that there is more ground to elevate the status of Muslims, especially Shia Muslims in Sweden.
He referred to the decision by the municipal council of the city of Botkyrka to allow Muslim call to prayers on Fridays, saying that previously the call to prayers was banned but Muslims managed to get the approval for Adhan.
Mo’azzami noted that if Muslims can form strong and purposeful unions, they can achieve their demands in the Swedish society.
He said there are 300 Shia organizations in Sweden but there is no solidarity among them.
The cultural expert stressed that the Swedish society at first did not have a clear understanding of Islam and Muslims’ life but that has changed in time.
