In his message, Imam Khamenei described the late Ayatollah Al-Fadhli, who was the Supreme Leader’s representative in Saudi Arabia, as a role model for the scholars of the Muslim Ummah and one who always strived for the promotion of Islamic unity.
“With deep sorrow and sadness I received the news of the eminent scholar late Ayatollah Al-Fadhli, may God bless his soul,” the Supreme Leader said in his message.
His Eminence described the late Alem as a pioneer of thought and a prominent Islamic scholar.
Imam Khamenei expressed his deepest condolences to the bereaved family and the late figure’s students, especially the scholars and Islamic seminaries of Iran and prayed God to bestow His infinite mercy to his soul.
Allameh Al-Fadhli passed away on Monday, April 8. His body was laid to rest in the cemetery of Sihat in Qatif province of Saudi Arabia.
