“Imam Ali’s (AS) Role in Dissemination of Quranic Sciences” Seminar in Najaf
A specialized seminar on “the role of Imam Ali (AS) in dissemination of Quranic sciences" was held on May 25 by the Office for Religious Affairs of Imam Ali’s (AS) Holy Shrine in Najaf.
According to the website of the holy shrine, the seminar was organized in line with a series of specialized programs on Alawi sciences and teachings planned on the occasion of birth anniversary of Imam Ali (AS).
The first session of the seminar was held in cooperation with a number of academic figures.
A number of researchers and seminary scholars presented their works on Quranic issues and Imam Ali’s (AS) view on Quranic sciences in the first session.
Sheikh Laith Al-Atabi, representative of the holy shrine in religious affairs, said that the office plans to publish the researches submitted to the seminar in the form of an encyclopedia.
Seyyed Sami Al-Badri, a researcher who participated in the program said that the seminar aims to clarify the status of Imam Ali (AS) in the continuation of Nabawi mission and remove the inaccurate Hadiths and concepts from the intellectual heritage of Islam.
