Police to Stop Anti-Islamic Rally in France

The French Police said the planned anti-Islamic rally by a far-right group was illegal.
Accoridng to the police the planned rally against Muslims would be an action aimed at provoking the public against Muslims and inciting violence, zamanfrance website reported.
The far right group Republican Resistance Association was planning to organize the demonstration in Paris on June 22.
The city’s police headquarters in a circular called on security forces to prevent it from taking place.
It said the planned move was an invitation to violence against a section of the French population.
The anti-Islamic group Republican Resistance Association seeks to exploit some recent incidents in Europe to distort the image of Islam.
It claims Islam is a threat and demonstrations should be held against Islam to prevent what it calls “extremism” from entering Europe.
There are some 6 million Muslims living in France, making it home to the largest Muslim minority in Western Europe.
