Iran Gifts Books to Central Library of Imam Ali’s (AS) Holy Shrine

Iranian Reconstruction Committee of the Holy Shrines in Iraq announced that 40000 books were gifted to the central library of Imam Ali’s (AS) holy shrine in Najaf on July 3.
Talking to IQNA, Hojat-ol-Islam Ali Cheraghipur, cultural deputy of the committee said that the books were gifted to the library on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
The books include topics on religion, philosophy, wisdom, social sciences, psychology, history and geography in the Arabic language.
The collection was gifted in order to develop the culture of book-reading in the society and to equip the library.
The Supreme Committee for Coordination and Supervision of Cultural-Art Centers of Iranian mosques and Secretariat of Mosque Centers in Ilam Province presented the books in line with cultural and religious interactions between Iran and Iraq.
The decision was made following the visit of Iraqi cultural delegation to the Iranian secretariat and the agreement of the supreme committee.
