The fact that the Shia teachings are in harmony with the teachings of the Quran led French citizen Yusera to embrace Shia Islam.
Speaking to IQNA, she said she recognized the compatibility between Shia teachings and the Quran after watching Shai satellite networks.
“After studying more about Shia Islam, its truthfulness was proven to me and my parents and we converted to Shi’ism”.
Yusera said the family started watching Shia TVs like Al-Kawsar and Al-Zahra after her mother accidentally learned about them.
“My family and I are grateful that God, the Almighty, acquainted us with true Islam and we feel that by embracing the school of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS), we have started a new life with the blessings of God.”
Elsewhere in her remarks, the French Shia convert elaborated on the virtues of the holy month of Ramadan and its importance in Muslims’ life, saying that the holy month is an opportunity for Muslims in which to reflect on their life and the universe.
She underlined that in Ramadan, even one’s material life improves as there is no one who is deprived of the blessings of God.
“For me, Ramadan is a month of Shifa (healing) and blessings and I feel its positive effects, both spiritual and physical.”
She said French Muslims, like other Muslims around the world, celebrate Ramadan by fasting, reading the Quran and holding Iftar (fast-breaking) ceremonies.
Yusera stressed that the best way for introducing Islam to non-Muslims is inviting them to Iftar ceremonies
22-year-old Yusera is originally from Morocco and currently lives in France.
