His speech will feature the 35th anniversary of Imam Musa Sadr’s disappearance as well as the current political crisis in Lebanon, Al-A’ahd website reported.
Lebanon’s stability, warning Muslims against Shia-Sunni discord, the need for preserving the role of resistance against occupation, and the likely US attack on Syria will be among the topics Berri will touch on in his speech.
It will be broadcast live on a number of Lebanese media, according to the report.
Imam Musa Sadr and his two companions were kidnapped in August 1978 during an official visit to the Libyan capital, Tripoli, to meet with officials from the government of former Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi.
The government of Gaddafi had denied any involvement in the Sadr’s case, ignoring calls for more information about his disappearance.
Since the Libyan revolution and the overthrow of Gaddafi, there have been many efforts to determine the whereabouts of the three but none has produced results.
Yet, the Shia world is still hoping to hear about the return of Imam Musa Sadr and his companions.
