“Status of Islam in History and Culture of Crimea" Published in Ukraine
A book entitled “Status of Islam in History and Culture of Crimea” was published in cooperation with the Office for Ukrainian Muslims’ Affairs in the Republic of Crimea.
According to IQNA’s branch in Europe, the book was written by Elmira Moradava, Nuriyyeh Muftiava and Nariman Abdulwahhabov, Zarimah Khayruddinava.
Two universities of the republic also cooperated in publication of the book which was distributed on September 20.
History of the arrival of Islam and its development in this country and the role that the religion has played in promotion of various groups of the people in this region, have been clarified in the book.
Amirali Ablayev, Grand Mufti and head of the religious office has written an introduction to the work.
He has stressed the necessity of paying attention to various groups of people in the society, particularly religious, political and scientific figures, promoting education of the youth and encouraging them to study the history and culture of their nation.
In this introduction, the Grand Mufti has also noted that the book is a valuable source for teachers and lecturers serving them as a guide in teachings religious sciences.
