Author of Book “Men and Women in Quran” Wins Sociology Award
The author of the book “Men and Women in Quran; Equality from What Perspective” won Morocco’s 2013 Sociology Award.

Asma Al-Marabet who is a physician working at Avicenna Hospital in Rabat, Morocco’s capital, was announced as the winner of the award in 2013 for her book on equality between men and women according to the Quran.
She has written other books about Islam and Muslim women’s status, including “Woman, Islam, the West”, “Quran and Women” and “Muslim in Simple Words”.
Al-Marabet plans to write a new book on the reasons behind discriminations against women in European countries, especially France, and disprove claims that Islam undermines women’s social and cultural roles.
The Moroccan Physician has worked as a volunteer doctor treating patients in different parts of the world.
