TEHRAN (IQNA) – Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior opened officially on Tuesday a center for teaching Quran to female prison inmates in the State Central Prison.

It will teach them the tenets of Islam including memorizing the Holy Quran, among other religious instruction aimed at reforming them for a better life, said a ministry official.
The center has been donated to the department of correctional services at the ministry by the family of the late Mubarak Abdulaziz Al-Hasawi, said the department's director Ibrahim Al-Eissa in a speech at the opening of the center ceremony, KUNA reported.
