Preliminary Stage of Quran Contest for Girls to Begin in UAE
TEHRAN (IQNA) – The preliminary stage of a Quran competition for girls in the United Arab Emirates will kick off tomorrow, March 3.
According to an Emirati website, al-Khaleej, female school students from across the Persian Gulf Arab country will compete in this stage.
The first stage will be held in Quran memorization centers in different cities and will last for two weeks.
The Abu Dhabi-based Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa al Nahyan Institute organizes the contest in cooperation with the UAE’s Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Department.
Participants will compete in 9 categories in different age groups.
The categories include: memorization of the entire Quran, and memorization of 15, 10, 5, 4, 3, 2 and one Juz (part) of the Holy Book.
