Top Iranian Qari Recites Quran in Ramadan Program in Sarajevo
TEHRAN (IQNA) – Prominent Iranian Qari Ahmad Abolghasemi recited verses from the Holy Quran at the closing ceremony of a religious program in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The ‘My Ummah’ (Moj Ummete) program is annually held in the city during the holy month of Ramadan.
It features spiritual Islamic music.
A number of high-ranking Bosnian officials, including Baqer Ezzat Begovic, a member of the country’s Presidential Council, as well as foreign ambassadors and guests were present at the closing ceremony.
Abolghasemi’s recitation of the Quran was warmly received by the participants.
Bosnia and Herzegovina is a country on the Balkan Peninsula in southeastern Europe.
Muslims constitute some 51 percent of the population and 46 percent of the people are Christians.
