Quranic Program Held in Iraq in Commemoration of Resistance Martyrs
Sheikh Khaled al-Mulla, head of the Iraqi Sunni Scholars Association, said the program was organized by the Sunni scholars, Afaq TV reported.
It was in commemoration of Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the deputy head of Iraq’s Hashd al-Sha’abi (PMU), and Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani, commander of the Quds Force of the IRGC.
A number of Iraqi Qaris and scholar were present at the program.
General Soleimani, al-Muhandis and a number of their entourage were killed in a strike by American drones near Baghdad International Airport in the early hours of January 3.
The White House and the Pentagon claimed responsibility for the assassination of General Soleimani in Iraq, saying the attack was carried out at the direction of US President Donald Trump.
