Senior Cleric Urges More Attention to Quranic Education

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Senior Iranian cleric Ayatollah Hossein Nouri Hamedani called for more attention to be paid to teaching Quran and religious subjects to students.

 

In a message to a biennial gathering of managers of the country’s Dar-ol-Quran centers, Ayatollah Nouri Hamedani underlined promotion of the Quran in society as an important task.

He said the Holy Quran is a book that provides answers to all humanity’s questions.

According to the cleric, teaching the Quran to children from an early age is of great significance based on Hadiths.

That is why the education system in the country should do its best to develop Quran teaching and employ teachers for this task who have the required expertise, he added.

Ayatollah Nouri Hamedani went on to urge everyone to strive to implement the teachings and concepts of the Holy Book in life.
