Recitation of Surah Al-Qadr by Eyptian Qari Shahat Muhammad Anwar (+Video)
TEHRAN (IQNA) – Surah Al-Qadr is the 97th Surah (chapter) of the Quran with 5 verses.
The following footage features recitation of the Surah by prominent Egyptian Qari Sheikh Shhahat (died in 2008) and recitation of some of its verses by his sons Mahmoud and Anwar.
Born in 1950 in Kafr el-Wazir village in Egypt’s Dakahlia Governorate, Shahat Muhammad Anwar started learning the Quran at a young age.
He learned the entire Quran by heart at 8 and when he was ten, his uncle took him to Kafr el-Maqam village to learn Tajweed recitation with Master Seyed Ahmed Fararahi.
Shahat Anwar’s beautiful voice and skillful recitation soon took him to prominence in Quranic circles in Egypt.
