TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Imam Hussain (AS) Islamic Center in Edmonton, Canada’s Alberta, will organize a ceremony to mourn the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Reza (AS), the eighth Shia Imam.

The ceremony will be held on Thursday evening, from 7:30 to 9:00 PM local time.

It will include recitation of verses from the Quran, recitation of the Ziarat Ashura Supplication, a speech by Dr Izadi and elegy recitations.

Due to the coronavirus restrictions, only eighty people can take part in the ceremony in person.

They are also required to have received two doses of COVID-19 vaccine, and wear face masks and observe social distancing.

Shia Muslims worldwide mourn the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Reza (AS) on the 30th day of the lunar Hijri month of Safar.
