Meshkat Int’l Quran Contest Concludes
TEHRAN (IQNA) – The final stage of the 3rd edition of Meshkat international Quran contest was held on Wednesday with the virtual participation of qaris from 50 countries.
They had sent their recitations to the secretariat of the competition for evaluation by a panel of judges comprising experts from Egypt, Syria, and Iran.
The process of assessments in the final stage was broadcast live from Instagram.
The competition featured the recitation of a given part of the Holy Book imitating the style of legendary Egyptian qari Abdul Basit Abdul Samad.
Winners wills be awarded at the closing ceremony on March 2 at the holy shrine of Hazrat Masoumeh (SA) in Qom.
