Titled “International Exhibition of Quranic Haft-Seen”, the event has been co-organized by the Iranian Academics Quranic Organization and Islamic Culture and Relations Organization.
As part of Malakout National and International Exhibitions, the event will showcase artworks made by 30 Iranian artists in the fields of calligraphy, calligraphy painting, and typography.
The exhibition will kick off on Monday, March 21, concurrent with the start of the new Iranian calendar year 1401.
Nowruz Table, Haft-sin or Haft-seen, is an arrangement of seven symbolic data-x-items for Nowruz, whose names start with the letter “S” in Persian Languages. A Quranic Haft-seen can be referred to seven verses that start with the letter “S”.
Artworks related to verse 58 of Surah Ya-Sin, verse 79 of Surah As-Saaffat, verse 109 of Surah As-Saaffat, verse 120 of Surah As-Saaffat, verse 130 of Surah As-Saaffat, verse 73 of Surah Az-Zumar, and verse 5 of Surah Al-Qadr that have the world “Salam” will be displayed in the exhibition which will be hosted by websites and social media pages of Iranian cultural centers in other countries.
The exhibition aims to use the medium of art to achieve the goal of strengthening artistic and media interactions between academics and elites at the national and international level with a focus on the Quran and the search of Ahl al-Bayt (AS).
